PWN London: Head of Mentoring & Development

LOCAL ROLE

The Head of Mentoring & Development is responsible for PWN London's overall strategy for further growth and development of mentoring activities within our city network.  Responsible for the structure, matching process, content, execution and administration of all the development and mentoring activities, in line with the strategy and the focus areas as defined by the PWN London board for the year. The Head of Mentoring & Development understands and is passionate about the critical role mentoring plays in the progression of women professionals and is able to inspire, lead and match professional relationships to successful mentoring outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Defines the D&M activity and agenda for the full year
  • Owns the strategy and execution of the Mentoring program, including contacts with sponsor, where applicable 
  • Strong cooperation and collaboration with other board members including Marketing and Events 
  • Collaborates and engages with PWN Global on mentoring initiatives
  • Supports the execution of the mentoring process, including mentor / mentee matching and works closely with VP Events regarding the actual execution of mentoring meetings
  • Manages the administration supporting the mentoring programme, including evaluation of feedback through surveys, provides ongoing reports and stats relating to the mentoring programme
  • Maintains an active database of potential mentors, including data about strengths and specialties’

Time Commitment

  • Approx 4-5 hours per week (variable and dependent on mentoring intake schedule and creation of a support team)

IDEAL BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE

  • Progressively responsible business experience in corporate environments, 
  • An excellent communicator with demonstrated leadership experience
  • Strong networking skills
  • Dedicated and energetic with a sense of diplomacy
  • Committed team member with ability to work autonomously
  • Preferably an HR professional, recognized coach and / or mentor professionally or within a corporate environment
  • Familiar with leveraging online tools and an ability to be trained on web platforms
