#4 Rebecca Fountain - What it means to be part of a global network

“To have real balanced leadership, women need to be women and men need to be men. We’re fundamentally different, we need to bring the competencies that we excel in to the table so that we have this great mix of yin and yang.” Rebecca Fountain is currently the Head of Marketing and Communications for PWN Global. Rebecca worked in the global educational technology market for 15 years. In 2008, she made a life changing jump to live a quieter paced life in the beautiful Ardèche Gorges in south-east France. Rebecca continues to live her dream balancing her day job from her virtual office, as a strategic and operational marketer for PWN Global, and the remainder of her time is split between canoeing in the prehistoric gorges, managing her gîtes and spending time with her Yorkshire-born husband, and their 13 years old son. In this episode, we talked about: - the origin of PWN and the mission of the association today - engaging men in the association and in the workplace - the benefits of the global network of PWN (webinar, members directory of 3500) - the importance to say No - Rebecca shared a very powerful professional advice to set you up for success for a future job search: to get references.
