#5 Rositsa Lazova - The toolkit of a new manager
“If you want to grow in your professional life, you need to go and talk to people who are not close to you on a daily basis because they would give you another point of view. You have to go and ask for advice and be clear about what you want.”
Today my guest is Rositsa Lazova. Rositsa is Bulgarian and her background is in IT engineering. As a self driven professional, she grew in her career, got her MBA and is now a manager at the multinational company SAP.
We talked about:
- how to design a career in a big corporation and how to grow on what Rossi calls a winding road
- becoming a manager and especially about the importance of not losing our authentic self and also the importance of compromising
- Rossi shared some tips on managing teams, specifically virtual teams.
For sake of clarity, this podcast was recorded before the Covid 19 pandemic.
