ABOUT THE TOPIC

Professional Women’s Network Norway is looking forward to hosting the May Monthly Event of its Stavanger Chapter on May 2, 2018 at Innovation Dock.

The start-up phase of a business is a very exciting time full of opportunities and decisions. However, it also comes with many hurdles and pitfalls. Particularly the first three years of starting up a company are crucial. Our distinguished guest speaker Tamara Kuklina will talk about her experience with setting up her own business. By sharing her own experience, her journey, her passions and what makes her get up every morning and why she loves her work, Tamara will give many pointers and inspiration to those that are planning or are in the throes of establishing their own business.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Tamara is a serial food-tech entrepreneur, who worked for different food companies and then founded four start-ups herself in Stavanger.

She currently runs SocialCooking.no (https://www.facebook.com/Socialcooking.no/) which organizes socializing and team-building events around a kitchen table where participants learn about different types of international cuisine with authentic flavors created by hobby chefs from around the world. Moreover, Tamara started Grøtbar (https://www.facebook.com/snackeriet/) and has the very first grøtbil in Norway, a food truck serving different kinds of porridge (grøt). She co-founded Fra Hage Til Mage (From Garden to Stomach), a social entreprise focusing on teaching children and youth about healthy food habits. Tamara is also a passionate networker and music-lover, and a frequent volunteer / co-producer at the Stavanger literature, music and children festivals.

After getting a Master degree in mathematics from Novosibirsk State University and prior to her foodie-tech journey, Tamara spent 6 years working as field engineer at Schlumberger and petroleum engineer at Statoil in Norway.
