This is the third event of our series “Women and Finance”. This time, we take the concept a step forward from women's own decision-making regarding e.g. pension savings and investments to a focus on technological and business trends in the finance sector itself and how to get more women involved in this development.
The overall motivation behind “Women and Finance” is empowering women to own finance related matters, and improve their skills when it comes to personal and business finance.
Statistics show that women are increasingly becoming household breadwinners. However, we are worse off when negotiating our salary and we tend to pass the buck on important choices such as investment and retirement. Women are also in the minority when it comes to a choosing a career in the financial sector.
This evening's event is divided in three parts:
17:00-18:00 Networking Session. We would like to start the event with a networking session, where you can get to know other members in an informal setting, build relations, and get inspired on your next professional opportunity.
18:00-18:10 Event Kick-off. PWN Copenhagen would like to briefly introduce you to the network's activities and specifically the concept behind the Event Series “Women and Finance”.
18:10-20:00 Presentation, cases & Q&A. For the event, we have joined forces with Independent Fintech Analyst Anette Broløs (former CEO of Copenhagen Fintech Innovation and Research).
Anette will give an introduction of the Fintech sector and its development and provide insight into how it is affecting financial services as we know them today. She will then shed light on the current role of women in Fintech and introduce examples that may change accessibility and increase inclusion of women from her own longterm experience within the sector. Her presentation will be mixed with possibilities for interaction with the audience with e.g. quick polls and Q&A.
