ABOUT THE EVENT

Building Bridges Across Cultures is an event to introduce you to businesses, organisations, methods, tools, and techniques to help you better understand other cultures and succeed in related areas such as: cross-cultural business, teamwork, and negotiations as well as a better understanding of Norway, integration into Norwegian society, and improved career opportunities in Norway. The presenters have a variety of experience in the intercultural field and each presentation shares a unique perspective of the field.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS

Agnes Bamford - diversophy ® Norway

An experienced and qualified intercultural business coach, speaker and facilitator, Agnes has been instrumental in the development and delivery of learning programmes and tools, including the Nordic profile for The International Profiler and diversophy Norway.

Alicia Partee - Leading diverse and inclusive teams - A case study

Alicia is president of PWN Norway, founder of Global Counseling Solutions AS and a Linkage Inc.  affiliate.  Alicia has over 20 years of experience leading projects, small and large teams at Fortune 500 and startup companies.  She relocated to Norway following her husband in 2013 from California, USA.   

Bjørn Z. Ekelund – Diversity Icebreaker Cross – Cultural Application

Bjørn Z. Ekelund is a Norwegian business consultant. He has been leading consultant organisations since 1987, at the same time doing extensive consultative work focused on interpersonal interaction, team analysis, innovation and cross-cultural challenges. He started Human Factors AS in 1993. 

Dimitris Polychronopoulos - diversophy® / SIETAR (Society of Intercultural Education Training and Research

Dimitris Polychronopoulos is a multilingual professional in innovation, entrepreneurship, and the intercultural space, with an MBA from BI Norwegian Business School and a Master of International Studies from UP Diliman. He has lived in seven different countries, sojourned in eight, and travelled to more than 100 countries and visited all seven continents while absorbing different cultures and languages.

Marit Imeland Gjesme is an experienced trainer, speaker and coach who supports companies globally in improving their cross-cultural cooperation in M&A’s, leadership and company culture. She has performed workshops in over 40 countries, trained participants from over 100 cultures and currently works a lot in the Middle East and the UN in Geneva.

Kathra Saba & Walaa Abuelmagd - Generation2Lead - your partner in diversity in the workplace.  

Kathra Saba and Walaa Abuelmagd are co-founders of Generation2Lead. Their ambition is to connect highly skilled migrants with the Norwegian labour market. Both co-founders have a broad experience being migrants themselves, but also have extensive experience with the migrant field.
