NETWORKING APERITIVO WITH MINI-WORKSHOP

Companies benefit from diversity. Heterogeneous groups in companies foster flexibility, creativity, organizational and individual growth, and the ability to better adjust to market changes. And yet, women and minorities occupy only 31% of the board seats at Fortune 500 companies. 

Research has shown that one of the hurdles of tackling this gap is practicing self promotion, that is vocally expressing achievement in the work environment.

#IamRemarkable strives to empower women and underrepresented groups to speak openly about their accomplishments in the workplace and beyond. The initiative motivates participants to promote themselves in front of peers and management, thereby breaking gender related modesty norms and glass ceilings

During the 60 min #IamRemarkable workshop we will:

1. Share data and research regarding self promotion and unconscious bias
2. Go through the main exercise to help you articulate your achievements and practice self promotion
3. Have a discussion and share take home exercises

#IamRemarkable is a Google initative that already ran over 400 workshops, across 30+ countries with great results:

• 72% of participants felt more comfortable speaking up about their accomplishments in front of peers and management since the workshop
• 78% encouraging female peers to speak about their accomplishments
• 95% would recommend the workshop
