Welcome to PWN Stockholm Annual General Meeting 2019

31 January 2019 18:00 - 18:45 Folkuniversitetet, Aula 220

We hereby invite all our members to the 2019 Annual General Meeting (AGM), on January 31st, 2019.

The AGM will be followed by our monthly event, open to all participants.  Feel free to invite a friend to join the after work event once the AGM finishes!

We are very pleased to welcome guest speaker Flavio Santos, Country Manager for Signify Sweden, as our guest speaker for the January after work event. Flavio will kick off the New Year with a call to action: a workshop about sustainable development where your input will help guide the discussion on how innovation, equal opportunities and a vision towards the future can shape the energy and lighting industry today.

The AGM is an important forum for our members to influence our network moving forward. We encourage you to take the opportunity to express your suggestions on speaker topics, activities etc - your feedback is warmly welcome in advance of the meeting by sending an email to one of our board members or at the AGM itself.

Please let us know if you will attend the AGM by registering to this event. Please note, if you register to attend the AGM you don't need to register for the AW as we will run the AW immediately after the AGM.

Special call-out

Are you interested in joining the PWN Stockholm board? Being a PWN board member provides a valuable experience to work on a board and to become part of a multicultural collaborative team of resourceful women. As a key part of our PWN Stockholm governing articles we open up the board positions that are either new or where the tenure of the VP or President has lasted more than 2 years. All our board positions will be confirmed through our voting process at the AGM.

The available board positions are:

Co-President - oversees the overall strategy for the network, engages with the PWN Federation board, manages the board activities and supports all the board members in their respective areas.

VP-Partnerships – sales representative for PWN Stockholm and primary point of contact with companies in Stockholm to present our unique service offerings (including Mentoring & Coaching programmes, leadership & diversity workshops etc.).  Note* Our service offerings are provided by Helena Ahlsten, Sara Jonasson and Emily Carter. More details to be presented during our AGM.

VP-General Secretary – active member of the board responsible for board meeting agendas, calendar and recording and following up of Trello action points as well as supporting the other board members in their activities.

Requirements: The PWN board is a working board; this means that you will work with your fellow board members to develop and implement the PWN Stockholm strategy to secure a sustainable growth of the network, and will be accountable for delivering tasks associated with your role. No previous experience of working on a board is necessary. You will be required to attend monthly board meetings and have been a PWN member for one year to apply. We require at minimum a 2-year commitment if you're a successful candidate to ensure quality and consistency.

Personal qualities: You have excellent interpersonal skills, you are self-motivated and proactive, you are able to drive things forward with enthusiasm and passion. You believe in what PWN is all about and are ready to dedicate some time towards the delivery/achievement of our goals.

What you can expect: Further career development, expanding your network, representing the PWN at local and national levels, attending board social events and being part of a great team!

Please note that the positions are performed on a voluntary basis.
