About the topic

Dr. Marte C.W. Solheim will share major trends from her research on diversity and innovation. Solheim will share the answers to these BIG questions surrounding diversity: What is the link between foreign-born workers and innovation and export? How does one identify the barriers and opportunities for this innovation to take place ? This will be an interactive lecture, so please feel free to ask questions, interrupt, and share your reflections.

 

About the speaker

Marte C.W. Solheim is a postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Innovation Research, UiS Business School, and the University of Stavanger.

She has been studying different types of diversity and its link to innovation for more than a decade.

Marte C.W. Solheim grew up in Dale, Norway. At 16, she left home to attend the international school United World College in Wales, where she lived for two years before she travelled around the world. She spent a few years living in the Dominican Republic. She returned to Norway to continue her studies, and work in the maritime cluster in Norway. Solheim completed and defended her PhD thesis “Innovation, Space, and Diversity” in January 2017.
