The “Wiener Weinwandertag” (Vienna Wine Hiking Day) is held every year on the last weekend of September. One of the unique things about Vienna is that it’s the only capital city in the world with more than 700 hectares of vineyards within the city limits. During the Wiener Weinwandertag one can hike on the trails that lead through private vineyards that are normally inaccessible during the rest of the year.
This year, joins us for a walk in the picturesque outskirts of the city. We will also stop to recharge with some good food and wine at one of the Heurige along the way.
We will walk from Ottakring to Neuwaldegg, get started at Wilhelminenberg Palace and lead through the Sprengersteig and the Paulinensteig back to the Palace.
We hope the weather stays nice, in case of bad weather forecast this event will be cancelled and you will be informed by email.
