Engaging Men as Allies to Women in the Workplace: Achieving Success Together!
How do we support women to develop and grow their careers?
How can men play their part in supporting women in the workplace?
What are some of the stories of success?
These questions highlight why gender balance is right at the top of the people agenda for many organisations today. Leaders recognise that a diverse workforce brings different ideas and perspectives which results in better decisions and helps foster innovation. It also helps organisations better reflect the profile of their stakeholders, partners and the society in which they operate.
One of the key area of focus, as companies seek to achieve progress, is in the advancement of women who are typically under represented in leadership and other key positions in the company.
Research has confirmed that women bring huge benefits to business and yet the majority of senior positions are held by men. As a result, many companies are setting targets for the representation of women in leadership and setting up programmes to support and develop them as leaders.
There is now an understanding that if men support women in the workplace (and at home), change can happen faster. Progressive companies are seeking to work with their men to help them become allies to women and be agents of change. This benefits women, but there are also significant advantages for men from developing their own gender balanced leadership skills.
Salesforce is a strong supporter of gender balance and is working to achieve more women in leadership. It is partnering with PWN Netherlands (a leading cross-company women’s network) to help speed up progress.
Salesforce and PWN Netherlands are therefore delighted to be holding a joint workshop on Engaging Men as Allies to Women in the Workplace: Achieving Success Together.
Open to men and women, this session will explore the rationale for gender balance and why men should engage with it. A panel of leaders from Salesforce and PWN will discuss the opportunities and the challenges for business and individuals. We will also have an open discussion on what success looks like and how to achieve it.
Do join us for this ground breaking event to learn more about a key business issue and have your say in how all genders can work together to achieve progress towards gender balance.
Please note that this is a hybrid event. While the panel will be in-person, by registering you will receive a link to join the event online.
