INSEAD: Insight into a unique encounter of minds with PWN Geneva-Lausanne and INSEAD

As a cosmopolitan group of international professionals, we met on a superb Spring evening with shared aspirations for career progression, educational excellence and high-level networking.

Our dynamic session was held in the cutting-edge co-working office of Spaces, on the banks of the Rhône, just where the river emerges from Lake Geneva before pursuing its course from Switzerland, through France to the Mediterranean Sea.

This inspiring setting offered us a unique atmosphere for inspiration and debate with INSEAD alumni, current EMBA students and candidates eager to learn more about the courses offered by the renowned institution, which provides an MBA course frequently ranked Number 1 in the World.

In the context of our long-standing partnership, INSEAD offers a scholarship enabling members of PWN, both men and women, to access the outstanding EMBA course in very privileged conditions. Our PWN participants viewed with great interest a presentation by Pierrette Doz (Assistant Director Marketing EMBA - INSEAD) describing the different courses offered, the recruitment process, the decision-making process for potential candidates to help them assess this opportunity by developing an understanding of whether and when it may be the right choice for them.

The INSEAD students and alumni benefitted from a brief presentation on PWN Global, by Vanessa Neil, covering the opportunities we offer for networking and professional development including an introduction to our local team in PWN Geneva-Lausanne.

With valuable contributions, personal success stories, and the demonstration of some very inspiring career paths, the session was as informative as it was interactive; further ideas were shared and business cards exchanged during a cocktail reception following the presentation to facilitate networking.

We extend our thanks to Pierrette Doz-Perdrix, Assistant Director Marketing & Recruitment EMBA, INSEAD, and all involved; we will certainly organise a similar event in the coming months… watch this space or contact us to find out more.

Pierrette Doz-Perdrix“We regularly run similar sessions in the different regions of the world and we were particularly happy to be partnering with PWN Geneva this time - thank you to Vanessa Neil, Vice President of PWN Geneva, for her presence and introduction of the network. Indeed, INSEAD works towards a future in which gender balance is the norm – not the exception – in business and society. In 2017-18, on the 50th anniversary of the first women at INSEAD (iW50), we are bringing greater attention to gender parity issues with various celebrations and initiatives, which will be culminating with the iW50 Summit held on June 29th on Fontainebleau Campus.” said Pierrette on reporting on the event.
