PWN Zug & Zurich: Mentoring Program Goes From Strength to Strength
Collaboration, higher sense of community and responsibility seem to be the key words that will inspire and drive action across the fields in 2020.
For PWN Zug & Zurich, 2020 started shooting at the stars from Zurich Urania Stars Observatory, where at the end of January we celebrated the 30 mentees/mentors pairs who joined our signature Mentoring programme in 2019. The initiative has been collecting enthusiastic feedback throughout the years and thrives through collaboration, as the voluntary mentors share their experience, insights and networks to guide the mentees to their development objectives. Our Mentoring Diaries tell these stories.
Almost 40 pairs have been matched again in 2020 and are starting their mentoring as we speak. To further boost the effectiveness of this experience, we have offered two webinars on the ‘Essentials of Successful Mentoring’. Led by the HR and Leadership expert Carol Ann Riley, the webinars focused on providing attendees with insights on how to define clear mentoring relationship goals as well as tips on how to set learning intentions for each mentoring session, followed by a high-impact Mentoring Kick-Off Event on 28 April 2020.
The future of work remains a theme very close to PWN Zug & Zurich’s heart. Many resources are provided for members and non-members, including an event that took place on 4th March 2020, on The Workforce of the Future, in collaboration with the British Swiss Chamber of Commerce.
On 2nd June 2020, the panel session 'Lifelong Learning & Reskilling: Swiss Job Market' in collaboration with Badenoch & Clark Switzerland, will focus on how to ensure the workforce of today and tomorrow can keep up with the megatrends transforming the world of work and stay competitive on the labour market.
