Will You Volunteer to Help PWN Global Grow?

We are all in the midst or unprecedented times with predictions that the global pandemic will leave us with an as yet untold and enormous econmic crisis. Even the largest organisations, with household names, are having to turn to redundancy and lay offs as they try to navigate their way through the unknown.  So, it's no surprise to hear that the not for profit organisations, that are often sponsored by these household names, are experiencing a very real knock on effect to their purpose-led orgaisations too.

We Need Volunteers! The PWN City Networks around the world have always been not for profit associations, led by inspiring volunteers who dedicate their time to the worthy cause of advancing gender balanced leadership.

We already have evidence that he pandemic and it's ensuing recession will disporportionally impact women - so now, more than ever, we need to maintain our momentum and our voice in the world.

To do this, we need your support. We have lots and lots of volunteer roles that we are currently seeking to fill so that we can continue to achieve the lofty ambitions that we have set for ourselves.

Whilst we are looking to fill several city network board roles, we are also looking to fill other, less time-consuming roles in the spirit of 'many hands make light work'. We recognise the amazing benefits of volunteering and so our volunteer roles are only open to PWN Members (Online or Premium).

If you have an hour or two per week (or even per month) to spare, and a desire to advance gender balance in the world, please take a look at our volunteer roles on offer, most of which can be delivered in a virtual environment. If you don't see anything that matches your skills set, think about learning a new skills, or contating us anyway to tell us how you would like to help! Fancy a go at writing articles like these for our newsletters? Want a go at running a social media channel for our community? We'd love to speak with you, so please be in touch.

As reported in Karin's earlier article: "Studies of happiness tell us that on the whole, there are three things that really matter to us : personal growth, connecting to people, and contributing to the community. " Being a volunteer can answer all those needs and guarentee your happiness (well, most of the time!!).
