Women on Boards Mentoring Programme: A Call for Mentors
At PWN Global we are committed to creating a significant, positive impact on gender-balanced leadership at Board-level. The Global Women on Boards Circle aims to unite PWN members worldwide who are either established or aspiring Non-Executive Directors. The programme revolves around three key pillars: Prepare, Learn, and Connect, designed to support a successful board career. As a key element of the Connect pillar, we are excited to announce the launch of the Women on Boards Mentoring Programme.
The Mentoring Programme is available to all Women on Boards Circle members and will start in autumn 2024.
To support and guide our programme participants, we are now seeking experienced Non-Executive Directors (NED) to join us as mentors.
As a seasoned NED, your experience and insights are invaluable to the women in our programme. Your mentorship can make a profound difference to the careers of the programme's participants and contribute to a more inclusive and equitable future.
By becoming a mentor, you will:
- Share your expertise to guide aspiring or established board members on their journey.
- Help shape the future of diverse leadership at board level.
- Be part of a vibrant and supportive community dedicated to professional growth and advancing gender-balanced leadership.
The Women on Boards Mentoring Programme seeks mentors who:
- Have multiple years of experience as a Non-Executive Director.
- Are PWN members or non-members (please do share this information with your wider professional networks).
We welcome experienced and first-time mentors and there is no fee associated with being a mentor for this programme. Support and training will be provided to you at the start of the programme and continued guidance will be available throughout with regards to best practice and other useful tools and tips.
Mentoring pairs will organise themselves but we recommend that you meet virtually (or in-person if your circumstances allow) at least once a month, over the duration of the programme.
If you have NED experience and would like to join the programme as a mentor, we would love to hear from you.
If you have suitable NED contacts within your wider professional networks, please encourage them to register their interest as a mentor.
Take Action and Express Your Interest For more information or to express your interest in becoming a mentor, contact us at wob@pwnglobal.net before 23 August 2024.
