Ana Torrés, PWN Lisbon

Ana Torres was recommended as PWN Lisbon President by the former PWN Lisbon President, Monica Santiago in March 2016. Following this recommendation, Anna was elected unanimously by the members of PWN Lisbon - and since that day, she has continued to deliver with resounding success!

Ana Torrés, PWN Lisbon PresidentOur global community watched with interest how Anna would follow in the successful footsteps of Monica, and almost two years on, we are delighted to that she has certainly stepped up to the plate and continued to build on the solid foundations laid by Monica and her team.

Ana’s successes rest not just in the big annual events and programmes that she mobilises her team to deliver, but also in her daily presence. She works hard as a dedicated volunteer to coach her Board members, ensuring that they all have the necessary support to develop and deliver in their diverse areas. Ana is a great leader, listening to the input of each member of her team and encouraging them to build their own teams to create continuous dynamicism in the network.

Under Ana’s careful leadership we have seen an exponential increase in media coverage, with regular articles in executive magazines. Ana’s recognized professionalism  as Cluster Lead for Western Europe, Rare Diseases in Pfizer (and Pfizer Board member since 2008, with several Pfizer awards) lends huge credibility to anything that PWN Lisbon gets involved in, which is also resulting in significant growth in the membership of PWN Lisbon (now our third largest city network in the world) and a marked increase in local coorporate partners, all contributing to the awareness goals of PWN on a local and global level.

And Ana’s team have only great things to say about her:

"Ana has contagious ernergy, is optimistic by nature, a reconciling person. Ana makes it happen!" , PWN Lisbon Treasurer

"Ana Torres's professional career is recognized and respected nationally and internationally and represents an example of dignifying the presence of women in multinational organizations. Ana Torres is a born leader and brings together, both for her curriculum vitae and for the characteristics of her personality, the ideal conditions to continue PWN's project and mission in Portugal and, with her strategic vision, to influence in a constructive way its future" , Sonya Richardson, Co-President, PWN Global
