Engaging Men Program - New workshops

30 January 2022 Language : English

Despite past efforts to advance gender equality, there are still many disadvantages, barriers and challenges for professional women in the workplace. The future of work post the COVID-19 pandemic and the developments in AI and technology point to these challenges becoming even more pronounced. This is a major issue for business and society.

Men hold some 80% of executive positions in organisations and still have much of the power, but they also face challenges of stereotyping and bias. They can do much to support women in the workplace and at home and liberate themselves from the typical male role models.

PWN Milan believes it is time for a new dialogue between men, women and all genders on how we achieve gender balance in the workplace and at home. We are delighted to announce a new initiative to engage male allies and develop a dialogue with them on the role they can play as change agents to support gender balance.

Here below is the free workshop you can attend.

Workshop ‘From Ally to Activist’ - Feb 7th, 2022, 6-8 pm - Online (workshop for men only)

In this workshop, we move beyond the why to explore in more detail the how and what men can do to truly become activists for change. We provide some tools to help men take action. We also support each man to develop their own individual action and impact plan. This will empower them to more effectively support women at work and at home and to engage with other men on gender balance.

We plan to develop cohorts of men who go through both workshops and commit themselves as allies to gender balance and to making a difference through the actions they take. We believe this will be critical for business and for society and will help women and men to fully achieve their potential for happiness and success.

Workshop ‘Men and Women Working Together’ - 6th April 2022, 6.30-8.30 pm - either online or live in location TBD

In this workshop, we bring men and women together to discuss how the new dialogue is developing and for them to give feedback on the progress being made. We also explore perspectives on the challenges still to be overcome and brainstorm on how men and women can work together to achieve gender balance.
