It has been more than 40 years since the American Management Consultant Marilyn Loden coined the phrase ‘glass ceiling’ to describe the intangible barrier than prevents women from rising to the top of their profession. Despite many initiatives to get more women to senior executive and board positions over the past four decades, progress remains slow.
