Launch of PWN Kuala Lumpur

There is something new brewing in Malaysia and it’s coming from individuals, a tsunami of intelligent, bright people craving balance and higher purpose, or called to make a difference. The brewing is a mixture of souls and collective consciousness and it is giving birth to a new breed of entrepreneurs called professional women.

Professional women are ready to up the ante, prioritize meaningful work rather than sacrifice these while trying to compete in ways by virtue of a hereditary belief. They are at the brink of redefining success, reclaiming fulfilment and revolutionizing work-life-balance equatives.

It is with great privilege that we would like to announce the birth of the Association of Professional Women’s Network Kuala Lumpur (PWN Kuala Lumpur). Birthing from a global movement PWN Global, we have now set up, officially registered on 27th July 2017 and was launched on 14th October 2016 at Enak KL, Jalan Bukit Bintang Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The network was co-founded by Munirah Looi and Zieda Halem after serries of discussions with the Executive Director of PWN Global, Wendy Mackey Jones and finally became the first City Network in Asia under the flagship of PWN Global and was proudly announced as the 29th City Network accross the globe.

It was a priviledged that the soft launch was attended by 60 professional women from various organizations and received termendous media coverage by local mainstream news channel, Bernama TV  as well as write ups from various local newspapers. The launch was kicked off with the video message from Sonia Richardson, President and Wendy Mackey Jones, the Executive Director of PWN Global.

At the end of the launch, we had a panel discussion where panelists shared their real life experience with the audience on Being a Leader, a Wife & a Mother. A topic which is very relevant to professional women and was very well received.
