Dear members
and supporters,
On Thursday 20th July 2023, we hosted the PWN
Global AGM. This year was a particularly auspicious one as it sees the
end of the mandate for our Board.
We would like to send our deep gratitude to all
who have served on the 2021-2023 Board. It has been a mandate with
challenges and we are excited to move into the next phase of our
journey.
Virgina and I, Nadine, provided our candidature
for a second mandate and have been duly elected. We are delighted to
be working together on this important mission.
We feel that we have much more to give and
creating real change and sustainability is something that takes time.
During this second mandate, we are committed to bringing to fruition
all our planning and strategising from the previous mandate. We are
excited to be continuing our journey as leaders of PWN Global.
You will see that we have restructured the board, adding roles
that we believe to be critical to the building of a sustainable
network, for example VP Strategic Development, and VP Membership and
City Network Development . We are delighted to have filled many of the
roles with former city network Presidents who know PWN intimately.
Former Presidents of Milan, Lisbon and Istanbul to name but a few.
This depth of experience will serve us well.
We invite
you to check
out our new PWN Global Board and, please, get in touch
with your ideas for improvement. We're really looking forward to
collaborating with you.
Autumn Project
The undertaking of creating a new member
platform, associated websites and app is no small feat for a fully
resourced corporate entity. As a volunteer-led association with
limited resources, we are counting on the goodwill of our volunteers,
and coprorate partners to make our dream a reality.
Despite the enormous workload it entails, we are
committed to providing you with a new member platform and associated
websites. This project is progressing, and we hope to start fully in
September. All of our city networks with be engaged in this project so
that we can offer you the best membership experience possible as we
move our association forward.
More news on this and the associated mobile
application will follow, later in the year. It's going to be worth the
wait!

development, and you'd like to get involved in helping this project,
we'd love to
hear from you.
We hope you enjoy this edition of the newsletter.

your Summer holidays (if you are lucky enough to be getting a break!),
