PWN Global Newsletter Q4 2023
Let's make the rest of 2023 really count
Dear members
and supporters of the PWN community,
We are delighted to introduce you to our new PWN Global Board. Earlier in October, we had
the chance to bring together the team, in person, in Bucharest to
build our team dynamic and outline the strategic approach for this
mandate of 2023-2025.
We are a group of ten, strong, committed women
from very diverse backgrounds. I am sure many of the names will be
familiar to you as we are delighted to have former city network
Presidents and Board members amongst us. This experience will be
invaluable as we seek to build a network that can continue
to accelerate our primary mission: Advancing gender-balanced
leadership.
If you would like to actively support our new PWN
Global Board as a volunteer or consultant, we encourage you to check
out our current Volunteer
Opportunities. Volunteering is a great way to refine your existing
skills, and build new compentences in a safe learning environment -
safe in the knowlegde that you are working for the greater good. If
you have time to spare, we'd love to
hear from you.
We aim to strengthen our ability to connect
members with powerful networking opportunities, which are so
fundamental to building strong leadership and supporting
the management of a high-level career - whether on a local or
international paradigm.
We will achieve this by continually building
sustainable links between our PWN city networks and their members. We
aim to extend the network into new cities, and we also intend to
share impactful local and international programmes across our
community. We will also work with our city networks to build a
corporate partnership model that will enable our partners to obtain
broader visibility and opportunity to influence.
We will be looking at all the strategic
partnerships that can give PWN greater openness and visibility to
attract more men to our network. Gender balance is not a 'women's'
problem - it's a societal issue that requires the perspectives of
women and men to create change and achieve our gender balance
ambitions.
To this end, we are working hard to create a new
platform, combined with a mobile application, that will be an
invaluable technological tool to support our progress. We'll keep you
informed of what is happening with this transformational project, that
our city network leads will be discussion at our EGM on Monday 16
October.
Finally, in light of last weekend's events in
Israel and the Gaza Strip, we would like to express our deepest
sympathy and solidarity with the families, parents and children of all
ages and backgrounds who are suffering in the Middle East today. All
our strength goes with them.
We hope you enjoy this edition of the newsletter.
If you like the stories we have shared, please feel free to share it
with your own networks to help spread the word about the work of PWN
Global and the PWN city networks.
Warmest regards from your dedicated
Presidents
