PWN Global Newsletter Q2 2023
Step into Spring!
Dear members
and supporters,
As we write this edition of our quarterly
newsletter, we are in the Easter break, which also signifies our
passage into Spring. In this period of rebirth and renewal, we are
very happy to share news and progress from PWN networks around the
world.
PWN Global Team Support - New Arrivals
The PWN Global team has been strengthened with
the addition of Monica Santiago, founder and former President of PWN
Lisbon. Monica joins us to manage our membership, and provide
invaluable, expert support to help develop of our city networks
around the world.
Our second appointment to the PWN Global team is
PWN Amsterdam member, Aylin Bumin, who joins us to drive global
marketing and communications, by consolidating our strategic
communications and speaking engagements, and strengthening the PWN
brand for all networks to gain maximum global impact.
To help strengthen our HR activities - including
the recruitment and onboarding of our volunteers, we are delighted to
welcome Ana de Oliveira.
We are extremely happy to welcome Monica, Aylin
and Ana Cristina into the team, and know that they will be great
assets to supporting the development of PWN.
IT Platform Development Project
One of the key benefits of being a PWN member is
your ability to network across geographical boundaries. Integral to
our ability to do this is our member platform technology.
We are currently entering into a major project to
renew this technology, with an intention to make our international
network more dynamic. The project will include the re-development of a
new website, better adapted to our operational needa and global brand,
and a new member platform. Catalina Nicolae has joined the team to
take up this challenge with us.
International Mentoring Programme
Registrations for our International Mentoring
Programme (IMP) have now closed. We are prousd to report that we have
35 pairs signing up for the adventure. We have some great mentor and
mentee profiles, and we look forward to sharing success stories from
this programme as we progress. Thank you to the team of Emmanuelle
Camus, Christine Gallaire, Maria Gomez, Laetitia Tonnel, and Rebecca
Fountain.
The IMP is going to be an immensely helpful
programme to those members who wish to advance their careers in an
international environment.
PWN Global Webinars
PWN Global's webinar series continues to be a
real showcase for our commitment and support to you. We drive forward
this monthly programme delivering topics that are relevant for your
development. Over the next few months we have the following
topics:
- 20th April - Are you ready for the future of work?
- 11th May - Unleash the Inner You - Tips that actually work!
- 8th June - Shattering ALL gender stereotypes
If there is a topic that you would like us to
cover in our leadership and development webinar series, or if you
would like to recommend a high-level speaker, please get in
touch.
PWN Global Meets
After a few years of travel restrictions, we are
thrilled that PWN Global city networks from around the world will be
coming together in Brussels, in May, to work together to prepare the
next steps of the PWN Global adventure. We will meet with the European
Commission, and we will work on the future and development of our
network, to both strengthen and renew it.
We are so proud of our 3000 member strong
network, our 25K+ subscribers to our newsletters, and events
everywhere. We are excited to see new contacts coming from outside
Europe to join us and we hope to have more news on this in the Q3
mailer.
Enjoy this Spring, enjoy the beautiful, long days
that are slowly coming back.
If you like the stories we share in our
newsletter, please feel free to share it with your own networks to
help spread the word about the work of the PWN Global network.
Warmest regards from your dedicated
Presidents
