PWN Global Newsletter Q3 2021

Dear PWN friends,

We are very honoured and happy to take the reins as the newly elected Co-Presidents of PWN Global, and we thank you for your trust.

We have great ambitions for PWN Global and for all of our city networks around the world: to advance women in leadership; to influence companies to transform themselves;  and, make gender balance a priority in the workplace, and society as a whole. To achieve these ambitions, we need to continue raising the awareness of PWN Global, and the work of its incredible volunteer community.

We promise to support our community by demonstrating the utmost professionalism and drive, to continually improve our membership experience, and engage our wider business community to make tangible, sustainable change, to advance gender-balanced leadership.

Over the Summer period, we will be working to build our Board and detail our strategic goals, that we will share with you all in September. In the meantime, you can take a look at the updates on our Board page of the website, to get acquainted with our core team.

Before that, be inspired by the great efforts of our different city networks, such as a return to face-to-face events in Copenhagen, and Romania. That feels good, doesn't it?

For those new to PWN, and even those who have been with us for a while, in this newsletter we offer you a potted history of PWN Global: how we were founded; our history highlights and where we are going next. You will see that our network was founded on a real need, established by women who were willing to stand up for their deeply held convictions.

In the next newsletter, we look forward to sharing with you our vision for the future, which will undoubtedly have the same impetus and the same enthusiasm, following in the footsteps of the women whose shoulders we stand on.

If you are not already a member or have let your membership lapse, please do take time to join us - keeping connected to a support community is more important than ever.

Enjoy this edition and please remember to forward it to your friends and colleagues who you think will enjoy it too, keep the inspiration and hope flowing.

It just remains for us to say a big 'Thank you! Merci! Mulțumesc!' to our outgoing Board. Thank you to out-going Co-Presidents, Carina Furlong, and Sheila Gemin and their entire team for their dedicated support during one of the most difficult periods in PWN history.

We wish everyone in our wonderful community a great Summer break and ask you to stay safe, stay well and stay connected.
