PWN Global Newsletter Q2 2022

Spring Edition

Dear members and supporters,

The world is going through terrible upheaval, with a war in Europe like we have not seen for many years. And once again it is the women who bear the brunt of the fallout. Women have to leave their homes, their cities, their countries, to protect the children and the elderly.

We have many testimonies, and are uplifted to hear how many of you are helping, supporting, rescuing these women, and these families in exile, showing immense benevolent, international solidarity.

PWN is a network of commitment and support, and we are proud of the spontaneous outbursts it allows.

More than ever we see how important it is to promote gender equality and continue to work on accelerating gender-balanced leadership. A diversity of views prevents excesses, and we all benefit from this.

PWN Global Developments

Despite the extenuating situation, we’re proud to announce that as we re-emerge from the difficult global pandemic situation, our network is more alive than ever, moving forward and developing:

  • Our network is on the rise again with a promising increase in membership. In the last 3 months, we have welcomed over 200 new members in 3 months. This is great news and we are delighted to see these signs of growth.
  • Six of our CNs have seen their Presidents move on to new pastures. We warmly thank the outgoing Presidents of Paris, Norway, Copenhagen, Rome, Lisbon for their commitment to our beautiful adventure, and we salute our incoming Presidents and are assured of their success as they stand on the shoulders of giants. We wish our President of PWN Barcelona much love on her maternity leave and welcome their interim President also.
  • Our #WearYourCrown❤ campaign was launched at the beginning of March. We encourage you to take a moment to participate in the campaign by actively sharing it with all of your personal networks, to support PWN to build more momentum in all of our projects. The campaign will run until June so you have time to get involved (see more in the article below).
  • A partnership with Michael Page in Portugal has allowed us to benefit from professional advice in recruitment of volunteers. We have onboarded new volunteers into the ranks of PWN Global, and we still need reinforcements to develop our association, and strive to achieve our mission to advance gender balanced leadership. Contact us today to find out more, and please share the news of our need with your friends and colleagues.

So there you have it, our network is more alive than ever! We know that there is still a lot to do, and with the commitment of PWN Global, our local City Networks and our dedicated volunteer corps, will are confident of success.

We hope you enjoy this quarter's newsletter and all the interesting articles it contains. Please feel free to share our newsletter with your own networks that you think would like to know more about the PNW Global network.

Warmest regards,your dedicated Presidents

Virginia and Nadine
