PWN Global Newsletter Q1 2018
Welcome to the New Year
Dear PWN
Community,
2018 has gotten off to a powerful start for women
across the globe. Be it for Oprah’s
historical Golden Globe Award speech or the latest
insights on the significant
impact of having more women in leadership positions,
understandably this year’s International Women’s
Day theme for March 8th is #PressForProgress. We have
momentum so wherever you are, make sure to ‘press for progress’
now.
How? As Oprah says: “…it will be because of a
lot of magnificent women…and some pretty phenomenal men who are
fighting hard to take us to the time when nobody has to say
‘MeToo’ again…”. Or as the latest
McKinsey research shows that articulating and cascading
CEO commitment galvanizes the organization, we at PWN are once again
confirmed in our commitment to inspiring women ánd men to accelerate
our mission of achieving gender balanced leadership.
You yourself may be a ‘magnificent woman’ or
‘a pretty phenomenal man’ who is constantly making sure your
workplace and your social environment is becoming more inclusive. With
the digital era changing our daily patterns and way of life, the time
is now for more women to take the helm.
After all, leadership roles matter. According to
the latest McKinsey insights, companies in the top quartile for gender
diversity on executive teams were 21% more likely to outperform on
profitability and 27% more likely to have superior value creation.
Again, the business case has been made more robust, so now the task at
hand is to make it happen.
At PWN we will support you in doing so through
our outstanding network of professionals, our inspirational events,
our top of the class mentoring and entrepreneurship program, our
leading webinar series among many other great initiatives at local
level
So, if you haven’t done so already, get in touch with us,
join a
local city network, volunteer and
help us make a difference – you’ll have a great experience,
develop yourself and, very importantly, have a lot of fun!
Enjoy your read and make sure to share the
news.
