Transition - How to adjust to a major change in life.

Most peoples lives can be divided into phases that we identify with.
Often we feel like we are what we do. That means it can be hard to transition into a new phase when we have to. Transitions can be moving house, divorce, empty nest, professional change or retiring just to name a few. They are known as some of the most stressful events that a person can go through in life.
Anja will briefly tell about her own struggle with the transition from being an Olympic athlete to life after sports. Many of you have probably had to make a professional transition - or are preparing to make one. Chances are you can use some of the strategies that Anja uses to help athletes in transition reinvent themselves for their professional life after sports and apply to your own situation. In any case, you will be introduced to some of the issues that are likely pop when you are about to repurpose or retire - and it doesn't hurt to be aware of these.
