PWN Amsterdam: Holiday Season Cocktails

Come celebrate the closing of 2019 with PWN Amsterdam , network colleagues, friends and family.

We are very pleased to have this event hosted by Christies, in their Amsterdam offices. Christies is a name and place that speaks of extraordinary art, unparalleled service, expertise and global reach. Founded in 1766 by James Christie, Christie's has since conducted the greatest and most celebrated auctions through the centuries providing a popular showcase for the unique and the beautiful.

Experts from the famous auction house will answer some of the following questions:
The value of art, art and money.
Why is it that some people in the world are willing to pay tens of millions for a work of art, which, from a material point of view, is practically worthless?
Why is it that one painting can be so much more valuable than another, seemingly similar painting, sometimes even produced by the same artist?
Some tips of the trade about what to keep in mind when you would like to (start to) buy art.

In the spirit of giving, we again showcase a foundation deserving of our attention. Mérida Miller from Project Fearless will give us a short presentation on how her foundation has created a learning space for girls aged 9-14  to break stereotypes, find their voices and create an impact.

Registration Details: This event is open to members and non-members (guests). Men are warmly welcomed to join our events as guests or as a member. Registration is required for all attendees. Members and guests, please see the side bar for this event's fees. Guest fees are non-refundable. There is a limited number of seats, so please register early!

After attending an event as a guest, should you decide to join our network within one week of the event, then the guest fee of 25,- euro  is deducted from the annual membership fee.
