Women in Leadership: Achieving an Equal Future in a Covid 19 World.

Empowering your career and personal development in line with your values when working virtually

Join us to celebrate International Women's Day 2021!

Join us and celebrate women’s achievement, raise awareness against bias and take action for equality.
We have joined together with PwC Women's Network (Women NL) to celebrate this day.

Three speakers will discuss this years' theme:

Raina Brands is an award winning researcher, consultant and professor at London Business School. She is an expert in social networks – informal relationships that are the heart of organizational life – and how these informal workplace networks can present hidden barriers to performance, innovation and collaboration. A core focus of her research is to understand how social networks shape individuals’ careers and to directly intervene in these processes to create more meritocratic organizations.

Mirella den Drijver is Senior Manager in the PwC NL immigration practice. With the lessons learned throughout her career Mirella really enjoys coaching colleagues who are keen to develop both personally and professionally. Having this kind of conversations with a variety of people not only allows her to support others but provides her with new perspectives every time. Being a firm believer in the capabilities of women in the workforce but at the same time the balance of diversity, this is a topic that often comes to the table.

Andrew Kruseman Aretz  is a partner at PwC The Netherlands with over 30 years’ experience working in HR consulting. He serves mainly Global, Private Equity and Corporate Clients. He has a master’s degree in Law from the Leiden University. Andrew has also served as chairman of the HR Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in The Netherlands. He is also a co-Chair of the Admission Committee for partners and directors of the NL firm.
Andrew is a motivational leader and highly supports women climbing the ladder and is vocal on the issues facing working women. He views Care and Integrity as critical values for PwC.

The round table discussion will be led by Sandy Nijhuis: “Professional, committed, energetic, sharp and always with a touch of humor, those are the words that best describe me as chairman of the day. Whether it concerns the opening of your conference, leading a debate or supervising an entire meeting, it is the most beautiful profession in the world!”
